It is held on the grounds of The Herb Garden, a privately owned AGRI-tourist destination in an idyllic rural setting that provides for a unique rural ambience.

Visitor participation is an important feature of Herbfest. The popular Chef Cook-off, boasting three esteemed local chefs, uses audience members as judges.
